And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth. -John 1:14
I mean, there it is. The Word, the truth, the Son of God, revealed his glory in grace and truth. He made himself known to us so we could be fully known and fully loved. He unveiled truth to the world and made himself accessible to all. That's the thing about truth, love demands it. Love requires trust and requires being known.
The deepest darkest parts of our soul that fester in shame, the selfishness that takes over our conscience. It's truth.
The hurts and aches that live in our hearts, the regrets we keep bottled up, the bitterness that simmers far below the surface for years. It's truth.
The joys, the successes, the things that give us life. They're truth too.
In love, they are all known. In light of God's glory, truth and grace coexist and are given to us in love. And that is simply amazing and worthy of praise.
